Massage Therapy

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.


Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a type of alternative medicine and pseudoscience that emphasizes physical manipulation of the body's muscle tissue and bones.

Michael is a graduate of the National Academy of Osteopathy and has always had an interest in manual therapy. Before studying manual osteopathy, Michael was exposed to many elements of traditional healing and wellness practices during his many years studying and teaching traditional Japanese martial arts. Michael is passionate about understanding how the human body works in order to optimize natural movement and improve health and wellness. In his spare time, Michael enjoys exercising, hiking, reading, writing, and spending time in nature.

Dr. Talha Farooq graduated from the Honours Kinesiology program at York University. He decided to pursue his career as a chiropractor due to his strong athletic background in soccer, cross country running, ice hockey and basketball as well as his passion for manual therapy.

He is a movement focused therapist and enjoys treating a variety of athletes in multiple sports as well weekend warriors. He holds certifications in Medical Acupuncture (MacU), Athletic Movement Assessment and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. I completed my undergraduate degrees at York university and graduated with honors in 2015 with a dual degree in Psychology and Nutrition from. I went on to complete my graduate clinical training at D’Youville University and graduated in 2019 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine and a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Research. I had the opportunity to manage a broad range of cases and treated patients at Buffalo Neurosurgery ,Hagman Chiropractic Health Center and Erie County Medical Center. During my clinical rotations, I learned how to combine successful spinal care training with an innate understanding of the body mechanics in order to educate patients how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
